Mr. Gordon Romero brings more than 35 years of experience in support services contracting to his role as senior vice president of BIS Salamis, Inc. His responsibility is to oversee all operational duties of the company. Mr. Romero has previously been in various management roles with BIS Salamis, Inc. for the last 21 years. He is a results-driven manager who is focused on the continued development of the company’s core business, as well as the addition of niche service lines with the goal of offering them to BIS Salamis’ clients throughout the Gulf of Mexico region. In addition, he has effectively helped transform the company’s operations departments into highly structured, performance-driven business units. Mr. Romero’s professional strengths include excellent operational and technical abilities, as well as the ability to identify problems and quickly implement solutions. He has also been instrumental in developing operational processes for the company over the last 21 years. Furthermore, Mr. Romero oversees all commercial processes and has developed a cost analyst method that calculates labor, equipment, square footages and required materials in a quick and timely manner for the dual purpose of client AFE costing and in-house measures and controls. Mr. Romero was influential in the design along with the written processes and procedures for the ‘BOCO Five-Part Rigging System’. He is the technical expert in the use of this widely utilized specialist access system. Mr. Romero has completed a number of industry training courses, including the State of Louisiana Contractor’s Licensing Board Examinations in 1987. He is also a member of the Steel Structural Painting Council and has worked with this organization over the last 21 years. Mr. Romero is a graduate of The University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business. He is a former graduate of Kaplan High School, Kaplan, Louisiana.
