Our company was founded in 1984 under the name of BOCO of Louisiana, Inc. The company’s initial purpose was to serve the needs of the oil & gas industry in the Gulf of Mexico by providing maintenance sandblasting and painting services.

In 1995, BOCO began exploring opportunities to expand its services internationally, as well as increase its areas of expertise. A working relationship was then formed with Salamis Ltd. – a Scottish offshore service company – who eventually acquired BOCO as a wholly owned subsidiary in 1997.

The company continued to grow in both services offered and geographical range, eventually becoming the Salamis Group’s principle operating company in the Americas. Subsequently, in 2003 BOCO officially changed its name to Salamis Services, Inc.

In 2006, the Salamis Group was acquired by Bilfinger Berger Industrial Services AG (BIS AG), a worldwide industrial services provider based in Munich, Germany. Subsequently, our company’s name was changed to BIS Salamis, Inc. in 2006.

Although our company’s name has changed a few times over the years, one thing will never change – our commitment to providing our clients with outstanding service and cost-effective solutions.
